Willow Pond PondCam™ - Help

If you do not see the pond (or at least trees in front of the pond) or the image doesn't quite look correct, it may be for the following reasons:
The green screen of death. The screen is green:This deadly green screen has nothing to do with St. Patrick's Day and is likely due to two problems.
Is it night time? The screen is black: Check to see if it's night time. Willow Pond is located in upstate New York; US eastern time (GMT-5; GMT-4 during summer time).

The screen is black with bright red lights:

It's night time (see above) and the LEDs on the camera (D-Link DSC-350) are reflected in a window. UPDATE: N/A D-Link camera retired in 2004.

red effect The screen is way too red: After many days of continuous operation, the camera autoexposure tends to provide this red duotone effect. UPDATE: N/A D-Link camera retired in 2004.
White out! The screen is white: It's really snowing like crazy. Check the snow depth or current weather conditions.
Trees in the way? Pond? What pond? Trees do tend to block the view. See the archive PondCam Archive below.
See the archive. Willow Pond can be seen in this archive cam shot (March 2002) without foliage. The view is due north.
